In a part time capacity (12 hours/fortnight), the Junior Hospitality and Environmental Services Assistant will: Help with the preparation and service of meals. Ensure that supplies and equipment are maintained in a safe and sanitary condition. KEY SELECTION CRITERIA: Essential: Effective communication and organisational skills. Demonstrate ability to work without active supervision. Ability to communicate effectively with other staff, support employees, patients, management and the community. Proven ability to prioritise and be multi-skilled. Demonstrate basic ability to learn and use computer software packages including Microsoft, Outlook, Word, Excel and other software packages as necessary. Desirable: Knowledge of Health Regulations and Victorian Food Safety Standards. Knowledge of Infection Control Health Regulations. Knowledge and understanding of Department of Human Services Cleaning Standards. Knowledge and understanding of Food Safe Australia. Proficiency in cleaning through on-the-job training. Proficiency in kitchen assist duties and food preparation through on-the-job training.
