The Payroll Services Branch processes employee salary, leave, superannuation, and salary packaging records to maintain accurate and timely payments to Department of Education staff. The Branch services over 75,000 employees in WA public schools, central office, and regional education offices.
The Role
The Payroll Adviser coordinates the delivery of efficient, quality‐assured payroll services to internal and external customers. They provide expert advice, investigate complex enquiries and complaints, and propose appropriate recommendations or solutions. The Adviser also line‐manages a small team, provides training and development, and promotes customer focus and continuous improvement to support the delivery of effective payroll services.

Eligibility
* Australian or New Zeland citizen, permanent resident, or holder of a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before commencing.
