As a Mine Systems Technician at the McArthur River Mine, you will provide support and maintenance services related to operational technology systems. These systems play a critical role in enhancing safety, efficiency, and productivity of our mining operations.
You will work across various functions such as communications, fleet management, water monitoring, fatigue monitoring, just to name a few. Conduct fault finding diagnosis and undertake repairs on systems and equipment, complete maintenance of communication networks across the mine site, install systems and complete ongoing maintenance on fleet management technologies, implement preventive measures and generate condition reports during routine maintenance of Fleet Machinery and Fixed Plant.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimise VHF infrastructure. You will be required to hold a minimum of a Certificate III in Communications or another relevant electrical discipline. Comms techs or electrical techs encouraged to apply. Mining experience an advantage but not necessary for the right candidate.
A strong ability to scope, implement, and troubleshoot a variety of operational technologies is essential. Experience working with Extra Low Voltage (ELV) DC systems in automotive, solar, and instrumentation applications highly desired. Strong knowledge of IP networking also required.
