Foreperson Plumber – Queensland Government
QBuildis an expanding commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government and we're looking for a dedicated Foreperson Plumber to coordinate maintenance and construction activities.
Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate the physical, financial and human resources on minor maintenance/upgrade projects.
Ensure quality and cost-effective commercial and/or residential building construction is delivered to clients.
Conduct site scoping, prepare accurate material lists and timely estimates to meet construction/maintenance programs.
Assist in planning and delivering projects through efficient supervision of field staff and subcontractors, applying relevant legislation, regulations, practices and policies.
Provide supervisory services and contract administration for construction, maintenance and upgrade work undertaken by QBuild.
Maintain a healthy and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with current human resource practices and principles.
Undertake Workplace Health and Safety audits of contractors to ensure compliance with QBuild's Safety Management System and associated KPIs.
Promote QBuild to existing and prospective clients and identify opportunities for new business services.
Develop and maintain close liaison with clients to ensure product and service delivery meets agreed outcomes.
Proactively manage staff performance and personal conduct.
Qualifications and Experience
Current trade qualification.
Current Workplace Health & Safety General Safety Induction Card.
Thorough knowledge of the Building Construction Industry, including quality assurance, project management and contract administration.
