BioCurate’s mission is to translate medical research outputs into high quality preclinical candidates for the bio-pharmaceutical industry. We are advancing Australian medical research into next-generation therapeutics. We are seeking a Director, Small Molecule Therapeutics to join our energetic, lean team and drive programs from discovery through to key value-creating milestones.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Drug Development and working with leadership team to:
- Lead small molecule discovery and development from hit identification and lead series optimisation towards IND-enabling studies.
- Shape strategy while staying hands-on with program execution, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
- Manage collaborations with CROs, academic partners, and investors to deliver programs on time and within budget.
- Review and evaluate the projects commercially and scientifically
About You
You thrive in a smaller organisation where you can be both strategic and hands-on. You bring:
- PhD in Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years’ R&D; experience in industry, with proven success in small molecule drug discovery and development.
- Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional projects and critical evaluation of new opportunities.
