Job Responsibilities
* Preparing and cooking a variety of meals in accordance with menu requirements and portion standards.
* Ensuring food quality, taste, consistency and presentation are maintained at a high standard.
* Assisting with daily kitchen preparation, cooking and service operations.
* Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards within the kitchen.
* Monitoring stock rotation and assisting with inventory control and ordering.
* Minimising food wastage and ensuring efficient kitchen operations.
* Working effectively during busy service periods, including evenings and weekends.
* Supporting teamwork and maintaining smooth communication within the kitchen team.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality preferred.
* Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Chef in a restaurant, café or hospitality environment.
* Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen procedures.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast‐paced environment.
* Good communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
* Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
* Valid Australian working rights.
