About the Opportunity
Mapei is looking for a Technical Engineer– Graduate to provide support for construction projects by articulating technical and product positioning to both the business and technical users.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide key pre‐sales technical advice, product advocacy and ensure fit‐for‐purpose products and techniques are employed.
* Become proficient in various types of construction chemicals, including resin and cementitious flooring, roofing and basement waterproofing, admixtures for concrete and mortars, structural strengthening and bonding.
* Assist technical engineers in creating technical guide/documentation.
* Assist technical engineers in preparing short‐form specification meeting regulation and performance requirements for customers.
* Assist technical engineers in coordinating and overseeing sales projects to ensure they meet specifications.
* Identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales and project process.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle, project program and assist in the development of new business.
* Accurately document and report on project progress, issues and solutions, including any authorized verbal agreements with customers.
* Maintain communication to relevant departments in relation to customer activity.
* Become proficient in any Australian standard related to our products' installation.
What You Bring
* Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering, or equivalent.
* Ability to read, write, understand and communicate technical documentation.
* Self‐motivated, able to work independently and in a team.
* Solid presentation skills and professional communication, including written responses and reports.
* Organised and analytical, able to eliminate technical obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
* Time‐management skills.
* Valid and current motor vehicle driver licence.
