The role
To ensure accurate and timely provision of company's payroll and all other payroll related duties.
This position also offers support and advice to the HR Team with regard to legislative requirements of leave entitlements and assistance with Work Life balance arrangements.
- Administer and review end to end fortnightly and monthly payroll
- Ensuring salaries and wages are distributed accurately and on a time as per Employment Contracts and other legislative requirements
- Ensuring all time sheets, payroll changes, records and other related material is received prior to close of payroll run
- Calculation and payment of termination payments including redundancy calculations and payments
- Processing salary increases and calculation of back pays
- Manage Maternity Leave payments and leave entries, including Centrelink payments
- Maintain pay records, employee records, leave records and related information
- Resolving/answering queries relating to Payroll across the Organisation for both staff and management
- Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office, 9 day fortnight and part time (0.8 FTE minimum) will be considered for this role._
About you
- Your skills and experience will include:_
- 5 + Years' experience with end to end payroll being able to deliver a payroll product of high quality for both internal and external customers
- Numerical ability and data entry skills with outstanding attention to detail
- End of year reconciliation process of all company payrolls
- Knowledge of legislative requirements in respect of PAYG, FBT, payroll tax and EEO principles.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and well developed interpersonal skills
- Understanding of computerised payroll systems and Human Resource Information Systems
- Manage company benefit programs e.g. Novated Lease, Superannuation and Employee Share Scheme
- Undertaking required reporting both internal and statutory reporting
- Reconciling payroll related GL accounts.
- Preparation of the annual FBT return
- Expense claim review backup
- Resource creation in Agresso
- Uploading of timesheet data in Agresso
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain a baseline clearance.
