Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join our maintenance team as a Resort Grounds and Facilities Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out routine repairs and maintenance across guest rooms, public spaces, equipment, and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out routine repairs and maintenance across guest rooms, public spaces, equipment, and facilities.
* Assist with planned preventative maintenance programs to keep the property in top shape.
* Look after the resort's beautiful gardens, lawns, and outdoor spaces so they stay healthy and inviting year-round.
* Support seasonal landscaping and care for trees, shrubs, and garden beds.
* Respond to guest and staff maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
* Monitor and report on equipment, supplies, and potential hazards.
* Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Manager and other departments to keep everything running smoothly.
Requirements
* Previous experience in general maintenance, handyman work, landscaping, or grounds keeping (resort or hotel experience a bonus).
* Basic knowledge of trades such as painting, plumbing, carpentry, and equipment care.
* A proactive attitude and problem-solving skills — you enjoy finding solutions and keeping things in good order.
* Awareness of workplace health & safety requirements, and willingness to follow safe work practices.
* Good communication skills and a helpful, team-oriented approach.
* Physical fitness and comfort working both indoors and outdoors in all seasons.
* Flexibility to work a roster that may include weekends and public holidays.
