About the Project: Clough Projects and BMD Construction (CBJV) have joined together to deliver the Darwin Ship Lift Facility for the Northern Territory Government. This facility will be the largest ship lift in Northern Australia, serving the maintenance needs of the Department of Defence, Australian Border Force, and the maritime sector, while supporting local jobs and economic growth. Who We’re Looking For CBJV is currently seeking experienced Pipelayers to join our high-performing project team based on site in Darwin. This role will see you working on a major marine infrastructure project, delivering critical underground services in a complex and safety-focused environment. The Role Includes Installation of sewer, stormwater and water main pipelines Laying, aligning and connecting pipes to required specifications (manage concrete and cementitious products - concrete, mortar, no fines) Reading and interpreting plans and levels Working around deep excavations and trenching operations Assisting with backfilling, compaction and testing activities Working collaboratively with plant operators and civil crews Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment Adhering strictly to site safety and compliance requirements Skills and Qualifications Minimum 3 years’ recent experience as a Pipelayer in civil construction Proven experience with sewer, stormwater and water main installations Marine or large-scale infrastructure project experience highly regarded Current Construction White/Blue Card Confined Space Current driver’s licence Current dogman ticket (desirable) Strong safety focus and commitment to safe work practices Ability to work effectively within a team or autonomously Positive attitude and strong work ethic For more about us, head to www.bmd.com.au.
