Our Head Chef Ben is currently seeking a passionate and motivated Commis Chef – Banquets to join our kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for full‐time employment and wanting to grow their culinary career in a professional and supportive environment.
Job Description
* Perform general and specialised cooking duties within the banquet kitchen
* Ensure all food produced is prepared in line with kitchen recipes and presentation standards
* Assist in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation within the kitchen and food outlets
* Support the kitchen team during banquet and event service operations
* Assist in training and guiding junior kitchen team members when required
* Contribute to a positive team environment while promoting flexibility and productivity within the kitchen
Qualifications
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent qualification
* Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar kitchen role (banquet experience highly regarded)
* Experience working in high‐volume kitchen environments
* Strong communication skills and professional presentation
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight service deadlines
* Availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
* Genuine passion for food, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences
