Electronic Controls Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled individual to fill the role of Electronic Controls Specialist with minimum 2 years of experience.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and be responsible for installing, configuring, and calibrating electronic instruments and control systems associated with HVAC units. The successful candidate will also perform routine maintenance on HVAC electronic components to ensure proper system operation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, configure, and calibrate electronic instruments and control systems associated with HVAC units.
* Perform routine maintenance on HVAC electronic components to ensure proper system operation.
* Troubleshoot and repair electronic faults in HVAC systems, including sensors, controllers, and other related devices.
* Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to accurately diagnose and resolve issues with electronic systems.
* Ensure that all work complies with industry standards, local codes, and regulations regarding HVAC and electrical systems.
* Coordinate with HVAC technicians to manage the integration of electronic controls with mechanical components.
* Use diagnostic tools and software to monitor HVAC systems and optimize performance.
* Provide technical support and training to clients and other staff members on the operation and maintenance of electronic controls.
* Keep detailed records of all maintenance, repair, and installation activities performed.
* Stay current with advances in HVAC technology and electronics through continuing education and training opportunities.
Qualifications:
* Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or similar trade qualification.
* Demonstrated experience in electronic repairs, preferably within the HVAC industry.
* Familiarity with various types of HVAC systems and their electronic components.
* Strong understanding of electronic circuitry, digital controls, and pneumatics.
* Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic equipment, such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
* Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
* Physically capable of performing tasks such as climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting equipment as needed.
* Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
* A valid Refrigerant Handling License may be required.
