About the Role
This Diagnostic Imaging Medical Physicist role involves working as part of a medical imaging team at Western Health to support all aspects of medical physics and radiation safety.
* Working with minimal supervision from the Chief Medical Physicist/Radiation Safety Officer to ensure that best practice standards for quality assurance programs are maintained in all medical imaging modalities.
* Maintaining radiation safety monitoring and standards, with regular performance of annual testing required by the Victorian Department of Health licensing conditions.
* Providing education on radiation safety, physics, image processing, and statistics to junior physicists.
The successful candidate will be registered with ACPSEM in Radiology or Nuclear Medicine. They may also participate in some after-hours or on-call work and be required to transport equipment between campuses.
