About the role
We are looking for an experienced leader to head AskNCVER, NCVER's tailored data and insights service.
In this role, you will lead a multidisciplinary team delivering advisory, analytics, research, and evaluation services that help stakeholders answer complex questions, strengthen decision-making and extend the impact of NCVER's data.
You will balance strategic leadership with hands-on delivery oversight, ensuring projects are high quality, delivered to scope and schedule, and meet customer expectations. You will also play a key role in building strong relationships across the VET sector, government and industry, and in shaping how NCVER continues to evolve its insights and service offerings.

What you will be doing
* Lead the delivery of AskNCVER's tailored advisory, analytics and evaluation services for internal and external stakeholders.
* Oversee a portfolio of complex projects, ensuring quality, timeliness and value for customers.
* Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders across government, industry and the VET community.
* Support the development of service offerings that strengthen NCVER's impact and reputation.
* Ensure a strong focus on analytical rigor, continuous improvement and customer experience.
* Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team of data analysts, researchers and information services professionals.
* Contribute to the growth of NCVER's core and commercial service streams.
What you will bring
* We are looking for someone who can combine strategic thinking with strong delivery discipline, and a customer focused mindset.
* Proven experience managing complex data analytics, research, evaluation or data advisory projects end-to-end.
* Strong leadership capability, including experience coaching and developing high-performing teams.
* Commercial acumen and experience delivering services in a customer-focused environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
* Relevant qualifications and/or experience in data analytics, research, evaluation, information services or related disciplines.
* Knowledge of the VET sector (highly regarded)
