Are you an organized, proactive individual with a knack for keeping things running smoothly? We're looking for an experienced Store person to support warehouse operations in Karratha. In this Temp-to-Perm opportunity, you'll play a key role in day-to-day operations and ensure everything is running under warehouse safety practices.
About the role
* Continue to develop and foster a behavioral based safety culture within the Company.
* Participate in audits/inspections, Safety meetings, Company safety programmed as required.
* Ensure that relevant employees, contractors and visitors comply with the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System and safety Policy.
* Understand and apply relevant Safe Operating Procedures and assist in the improvement of safety processes and initiatives.
* Correctly pick and label orders.
* Maintain appropriate product knowledge.
* Execute MDE transactions.
* Execute appropriate SAP transactions.
* Be competent in the use of equipment required for the role (e.g. cranes & forklifts).
* Understand receiving (including accurate receipting of inward goods) and dispatch processes.
* Obtain and maintain adequate SAP system knowledge.
* Assist in protecting product from loss or damage.
* Report short/nil stock items against orders.
* Load trucks as per customer and OneSteel requirements.
* Support DIFOT programs and work practices.
* Serve customers / assist with retail sales, queries and resolve quality issues (as required).
Qualifications
* Ability and strong desire to learn and develop multiple new skills
* Passionate and committed to safety, has an understanding of warehouse safety practices.
* Customer Focused
* Team Player
* Communication Skills and Ability to understand and interpret instructions
* Truck license (desirable)
* Forklift (HR) license (desirable)
