About the role

Our medical specialist clinic administrative assistant in Neurosciences is responsible for the delivery of confidential, efficient, consumer focussed administrative support that ensures equity of access to care for patients, in accordance with Barwon Health values and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

* Provision of clerical and reception services in a confidential and accurate manner in accordance with Barwon Health policies and procedures
* Contribute to and assist the Outpatient Nurse Unit Manager and Clerical Team Leader in maintaining efficient reception service delivery
* Establish and maintain effective communication within the multi-disciplinary team
* Provision of accurate data entry in compliance with reporting standards
* Flexibility to work within the structure of the gastroenterology clinic to meet the demand of the service

* High level communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated interpersonal skills when engaging with consumers, their families and all health care professionals
* Computer literacy and ability to embrace health technologies and informatics
* Demonstrated high level of customer service and professionalism with a positive attitude towards work and colleagues
* Willingness to participate and contribute to a learning environment
* Flexibility to work rostered shifts and additional hours to meet departmental needs
