THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Facility Coordinator – Swim School to help lead the daily delivery and ongoing growth of our learn-to-swim and related programs at CISAC. Working closely with the Swim School Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring every class runs safely, smoothly, and to the highest standard of service. Your work will directly support the development of swimmers of all ages and contribute to a consistently high-quality, engaging learning environment.
This role is ideal for a motivated, solutions-focused professional who thrives in a collaborative environment. You'll build strong relationships with Swim School, Aquatics, and other operational teams, ensuring procedures are followed, communication flows seamlessly, and program delivery remains efficient and consistent. Clear, confident communication and the ability to adapt your style across diverse audiences will be essential to your success.
As a leader within the Swim School, you'll set the tone for excellence - supporting instructors, guiding day-to-day operations, and driving continuous improvement. From staff coordination to customer experience, you'll help create a safe, welcoming, and energetic environment that keeps families engaged and returning year after year.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
We are looking for someone with:
Qualifications & Certifications
Mandatory:
* Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
* Current AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (TSW), Swim Australia Teacher, or RLSSA Swim Teacher qualification
* RLS Pool Lifeguard License
* RLS Pool Lifeguard Statement of Attainment
Desirable:
* AUSTSWIM, Swim Australia, or RLSSA Assessor accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
* Aquatic Technical Operator qualification
* Additional AUSTSWIM, Swim Australia, or RLSSA extension certifications (e.g., Infant and Preschool Aquatics, Access and Inclusion, Competitive Strokes, or Teacher of Adults)
* Experience in aquatic facility coordination, operations management, or team leadership within a swim school environment
Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience working within an aquatic environment with a strong understanding of swim school programming and service delivery
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Swim Instructor
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in a diverse community
* Exceptional time management and organisational skills
* Experience effectively managing priorities and supervising other staff
* Highly developed verbal and written communication, consultation, and negotiation skills
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Support the smooth delivery and ongoing development of learn-to-swim programs, ensuring high-quality, safe, and well-organised operations.
* Assist with program administration and provide guidance to students, families, and staff to ensure a positive and consistent experience.
* Recruit, roster, and develop a skilled team of Swim Instructors, providing ongoing coaching to drive excellence and professional growth.
* Maintain strong customer relationships, responding to enquiries, promoting programs, and helping grow participation through effective engagement.
* Collaborate with Swim School, Aquatics, and other departments to support operational needs and achieve shared business goals.
* Ensure program delivery meets all compliance, safety, and industry standards, maintaining readiness through strong knowledge of procedures and emergency protocols.
* Contribute to a positive, ethical, and team-focused workplace culture that reflects Viva Leisure's values.
