We are seeking an In-House Legal Counsel to join our team, providing proactive legal advice on franchising, property, corporate operations, and compliance.
The successful candidate will work closely with various teams to ensure seamless execution of franchise agreements, recruitment, sales, renewals, and terminations.
* Draft, review, and negotiate franchise agreements.
* Oversee franchise recruitment, sales, renewals, and terminations.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Support Franchise Development and Operations teams in implementing franchise documentation.
* Review and negotiate lease agreements for both company-owned and franchised locations.
* Liaise with landlords and agents to safeguard leasing interests.
* Provide advice on lease compliance, notices, and dispute resolution.
* Stay informed on legislative changes affecting the business and ensure company policies are compliant.
* Manage company trademarks, intellectual property, and licensing matters.
* Oversee preparation of NDAs, supplier agreements, and contractor arrangements.
* Advise and manage disputes involving franchisees, suppliers, employees, or landlords.
* Identify legal risks and propose mitigation strategies.
