Strategic HR Leader Opportunity

Transforming transport and infrastructure requires a dynamic team that can shape sustainable solutions for the future.

As an HR Business Partner, you will be part of a global organisation driven by purpose, safety, and innovation. You will contribute to strategic plans, align HR activities with business goals, and support leaders through change, growth, and transformation initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

* Align HR activities with business objectives and strategies
* Coach and support leaders through complex issues, including change management and organisational development
* Contribute to the design and execution of HR strategic plans, ensuring alignment with business goals
* Lead the rollout of key HR processes, including performance, engagement, and talent development
* Conduct workplace investigations, manage outcomes, and support disciplinary processes in accordance with local labour legislation
* Promote positive employee relations and manage union interactions in line with local labour laws
* Apply knowledge of employment law and industrial relations to coach managers through complex issues
* Drive leadership and talent development, succession planning, and workforce capability
* Support recruitment activities and ensure alignment with employer branding and diversity goals
* Maintain and manage HRIS systems and recruitment trackers, ensuring data accuracy and compliance
* Partner with leaders to implement change management and organisational development initiatives, promoting a culture of inclusion and continuous improvement
* Support and lead health and safety initiatives across the organisation
* Ensure compliance with relevant HR policies, WHS regulations, and ISO standards
* Manage HR risks and contribute to a culture of accountability and safety

Qualifications & Experience:

* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a Human Resources Business Partner or generalist role, preferably in a unionised environment
* Strong knowledge of industrial relations and workplace legislation, with experience in coaching, facilitation, and organisational development
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across multiple shifts as needed
* Experience working in a manufacturing or logistics environment, with knowledge of HRIS systems and data management tools
* Previous exposure to a matrix or global organisation structure, with experience in workforce planning and strategic talent reviews
