Junior Payroll & Accounts Payable Administrator Location: Melbourne, VIC Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time About the Role A Melbourne-based organisation is seeking a Junior Payroll & Accounts Payable Administrator to support the finance function in payroll processing and accounts payable activities. This role is ideal for a junior finance professional looking to develop practical experience in Australian payroll compliance and financial administration within a structured business environment. The successful candidate will work closely with senior finance staff and receive guidance while developing technical capability. Key Responsibilities Payroll Support Assist with payroll processing in accordance with Australian employment legislation Review and verify timesheets, leave records and payroll data Support calculation of wages, allowances and superannuation Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data accuracy Assist in preparing payroll reports Respond to basic payroll queries under supervision Accounts Payable Support Process and enter supplier invoices accurately Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation Assist with supplier statement reconciliations Support preparation of payment runs Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems Assist with month-end reconciliation processes Skills & Experience Qualification or current studies in Accounting, Finance or related field Previous experience in payroll, accounts payable or finance administration (desirable but not essential) Basic understanding of Australian payroll compliance (advantageous) Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills Strong organisational skills and ability to follow procedures Professional communication skills Applicants must have valid work rights in Australia.
