Taxi Driver – Bentley Park, Cairns

We are seeking a reliable and professional Taxi Driver to join our growing transport fleet in Bentley Park, Cairns. As a key part of our service, you will provide safe, efficient, and courteous transportation to locals and tourists across the Cairns area and surrounds.
The Job
This is a full-time, ongoing position based in Cairns. You will be responsible for driving motor vehicles to transport passengers to their destinations on a fee-for-service basis.
Remuneration – full time ongoing and paid in the range $67,500 to $70,000 plus superannuation per annum.
Depot Location Bentley Park, Cairns
Responsibilities:
* Drive a taxi to transport passengers safely to designated locations.
* Assist passengers with luggage and entry/exit from the vehicle as required.
* Operate metered fare hiring arrangements and process various payment types.
* Maintain the vehicle in a clean and roadworthy condition.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and use GPS/navigation systems.
* Adhere to all Queensland road rules and taxi industry regulations.
* Integrity: High ethical standards and honesty are essential; you must be committed to transparent fare collection and the safe, principled treatment of all passengers.
To be considered, please confirm these matters
* A suitable certificate and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience as a taxi or professional passenger driver is expected
* Must hold a valid Open Queensland Driver Licence.
* Must hold (or be eligible to obtain) a Queensland Driver Authorisation (DA) for taxi services.
* Strong communication skills, excellent local area knowledge of Cairns and surrounds, and a commitment to passenger safety.
You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights to be considered.
