**What you'll be doing**
As the **Specialist, Load Control** you will be responsible for the organisation, direction, and implementation of all organisational strategies and change activities to achieve the vision and objectives of the Load Control team within the Integrated Operations Centre.
You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of all Load Control documentation and procedures whilst providing a high level of accountability and maintaining standards.
In addition, the Specialist, Load Control will work to drive efficiencies, greater utilisation and higher proficiency within the team and in the organisation such that business results/measures of success are achieved.
**In addition you will**:
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and quality of processes in Load Control.
- Identify possible barriers preventing the implementation of processes and critical initiatives, as well as provide actions to mitigate barriers.
- Analysis of Key Stakeholder feedback, audit information, reports and LC team member feedback to identify areas of opportunity.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures relating to safety.
- Ensure all load documentation is produced in accordance with regulatory and company requirements and storage and record-keeping are maintained.
- Liaise with internal and external parties on issues relating to policy development, regulatory oversight, and approval to change Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure all deficiencies in the Load Control processes are mitigated through continual improvements to processes and procedures.
- Support team members through changes that directly impact their roles and tasks.
- Be a trusted contact for Airports, Cargo, and Ramp to discuss issues or changes to their environment and engage on all business changes that impact ours and their ability to provide safe payload delivery and documentation.
- Lead discussions with vendors and ensure Virgin Australia's strategy and direction are known and supported
**You'll be great in this role if you**
- Experience within the Load Control or Integrated Operations Environment.
- High-level analytical skills.
- Strong negotiation skills
- Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal
- Able to work effectively at all levels in an organisation
- Problem-solving and root-cause identification skills
- Thorough understanding of all Load Control processes and procedures in detail
- Understanding of Project Methodologies
- Sound knowledge of aviation legislation and regulations
