Your new role
* Provide subject matter expertise, advice, and guidance to senior executive and management teams in relation to work health and safety risk exposures and appropriate management mitigation strategies.
* Provide advice and guidance to senior executive and management teams in relation to management of work health and safety performance.
* Lead the implementation and ongoing review of risk management programs and associated processes.
* Provide strategic advice and guidance and support to relevant areas to ensure effective management of work health and safety risk.
* Contribute to successful outcomes in relation to projects where SEQT provides a supporting role.
* Support and assist the business in the development and implementation of work health and safety risk management initiatives, as required.
* Monitor and report on critical work health and safety risks that impact the business to ensure continual improvement of work health and safety performance.
* Liaison with key internal stakeholders to develop appropriate risk treatment strategies.
* Formulate direction and strategy to identify, manage and mitigate work health and safety risk exposures.
What you'll need to succeed
* Tertiary level qualification in Safety, Risk, or other relevant discipline
* Extensive experience in the provision of strategic advice and guidance to senior management on work health and safety risk and related issues.
* Extensive experience in the provision of work health and safety risk advice and management of change.
* Experience in developing and delivering risk management studies including facilitation.
* Demonstrated knowledge of Work, Health and Safety legislation.
* Excellent communication skills, ability to think creatively and influence stakeholder, take initiative, plan, and execute complex projects
* Valid WA Driver's License Class 'C' or 'C-A'
* Understanding of WHS and electricity industry legislative frameworks.
