About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Painter who can deliver high-standard painting and finishing work across a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling, and repairing imperfections.
• Apply paint, varnish, stains, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Mix and match paint colours to achieve required finishes and ensure consistent application.
• Protect surrounding areas with drop sheets, masking, and other protective materials.
• Repair cracks, holes, and other surface defects before painting.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and quality expectations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
• Collaborate with team members and follow project timelines to meet client requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
• Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent qualification).
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Painter.
• Strong understanding of painting techniques, materials, and surface preparation.
• Ability to interpret job specifications and follow instructions accurately.
• Commitment to safe work practices and attention to detail.
