**Procurement & Logistics Officer.**
**_The Procurement and Logistics Officer will ensure that all procurement (60%), warehousing and logistics (40%) activities are undertaken in accordance with company policy and procedures. This position will also require managing and storing client assets and equipment._**
**About the role**
- Working closely with site, end users, suppliers and stakeholders with regard to all procurement, purchasing, expediting and discrepancies
- Establish solid supply alliances.
- Finding and securing new business prospects, whilst upholding current business partnerships.
- Efficient management of the warehouse.
- Liaise with Management, Supervisors, Procurement and Warehouse personnel on goods and services required, as well as ensure timely transport and receipt of materials, tools and consumables.
- Monitor and co-ordinate freight collection, distribution and delivery of items to ensure they are received on time.
- Ensure orders are checked upon arrival and meet the specifications.
- Manage receival, storage, dispatching and recording of all stock items.
- Oversee warehouse and yard operations to promote the efficient management including a high standard of housekeeping in the warehouse, yard and outbuildings.
- Carry out other tasks as directed by Management in regard to the Machinery Sales division.
- Complete risk assessments and other safety documentation when required.
- Forklift Ticket Required.
- Co-ordinate logístical movements between sites as required.
**Job Requirements**
- 5-10+ years' experience working in a procurement and/or logistics role
- High level of computer literacy, particularly Microsoft office suite and MYOB
- Sound understanding of supply chain management & inventory management processes
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong commitment to following health, safety and environment policies and procedures
- Current National Police Clearance
- Relief crane driving in yard when required (if ticketed).
