Position Details
Position Title: Educational Consultant – Vantage
Employment Type: Contractor / Consultant
Contract Duration: 12 Months (with potential for renewal aligned to project milestones)
Reports To: Project Lead, Vantage
Location: Sydney, NSW
Role Overview
The Educational Consultant will serve as the pedagogical architect and community ambassador during Vantage's pre-launch phase. While the Project Lead oversees overall operational and strategic delivery, this role is responsible for shaping the educational foundation of Vantage—ensuring its curriculum, compliance documentation, and pedagogical approach are robust, innovative, and aligned with NESA requirements.
This role demands a unique combination of regulatory expertise, educational vision, and dynamic stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring Vantage's "bold new proposition" is fully articulated, compliant, and ready for implementation.
Key Responsibilities
NESA Registration and Curriculum Compliance
* Lead the development drafting and submission of all educational documentation required for NESA school registration and accreditation
* Build comprehensive curriculum structures scope and sequences and timetables that align with NESA syllabuses while reflecting Vantage's inquiry based and industry connected learning model
* Ensure all curriculum materials demonstrate appropriate rigour for RoSA and HSC eligibility and incorporate contemporary pedagogies and real world application
* Collaborate with the Project Lead to ensure all curriculum assessment and reporting policies meet regulatory and legislative requirements
Founding Team Development Forum for Radical Teachers
* Support the recruitment of the founding teaching team with the leadership team identifying educators with both strong academic capability and an entrepreneurial innovative mindset
* Support the design and facilitation of the Forum for Radical Teachers a professional learning community focused on inquiry based practice and Vantage's educational philosophy
* Support the development of a comprehensive onboarding and professional development roadmap that prepares educators to merge NESA outcomes with authentic industry aligned learning
* Support mentoring of key staff during pre operations to ensure alignment with Vantage's Islamic ethos and pedagogical direction
Community Outreach and Family Engagement
* Design and deliver a targeted six month engagement strategy to build the inaugural cohort of learners and families
* Lead and facilitate up to fifteen community facing events including parent information evenings student workshops and industry partner panels
* Communicate Vantage's value proposition with clarity and impact translating complex educational concepts into compelling narratives for diverse audiences
* Gather and synthesise feedback from community engagement to inform final program design and strengthen the learner value proposition
Strategic Educational Advisory
* Provide expert advice to the Executive Leadership Team on educational trends NESA regulatory updates and opportunities for pedagogical innovation
* Ensure Vantage's educational model remains aligned with Unity Grammar's mission of fostering excellence character and curiosity
* Work closely with industry partners to translate real world needs into curriculum assets learning experiences and authentic projects

Essential Criteria
* Extensive experience in NSW school registration accreditation processes and curriculum compliance through NESA
* Proven background in educational leadership curriculum design consultancy or similar domains
* Demonstrated success in designing and delivering teacher professional development with inquiry based learning experience highly advantageous
* Outstanding public speaking facilitation and community engagement skills
* Clear commitment to preparing students for the evolving demands of the modern world
Desirable Criteria
* Experience contributing to or launching a start up school or new educational site
* Established networks within NSW's innovative education sector
* Understanding of Islamic educational values and Unity Grammar's context
