Empowering First Nations Children and Families
This role plays a crucial part in delivering culturally safe, inclusive services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting vulnerable children, young people, and families, and possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work sensitively with diverse communities.
About the Role
* Provide tailored support and case management to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, and families.
* Establish partnerships with agencies, carers, and families to create sustainable support networks.
* Develop and deliver culturally inclusive programs promoting healing, resilience, and well-being.
Requirements
* Be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person.
* Hold a degree qualification in social work, psychology, or related discipline (or equivalent level of expertise).
* Have knowledge of child protection frameworks and demonstrated ability to complete assessments for care.
* Possess experience in child protection, community services, or supporting vulnerable children and families.
* Have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work sensitively with diverse communities.
Required documents:
* Current National Police Certificate, Working with Children (Blue Card), Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS) – or the ability to acquire.
