About the Role
Property & Leasing Officer responsible for the day-to-day coordination of leasing activities, tenant support, and administrative functions under the direction of the Property & Leasing Manager. The role ensures efficient service delivery, accurate documentation, and positive resident experience.
Essential Responsibilities
* Maintain a current list of suitable rental properties within approved market ranges.
* Coordinate with local real estate agents to gather property availability and leasing information.
* Schedule and facilitate property inspections for prospective residents.
* Support preparation and review of lease documentation for completeness and accuracy.
* Track lease terms, expirations, and key milestones.
* Act as point of contact for resident inquiries and provide timely responses.
* Assist incoming residents with relocation and initial housing arrangements.
* Review lease agreements to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
* Provide general guidance on leasing processes, expectations, and documentation requirements.
* Escalate complex issues to the Property & Leasing Manager as needed.
* Maintain a professional, customer‐focused approach in all interactions.
* Coordinate white goods requirements based on resident needs and liaise with vendors for delivery and installation.
* Track vendor activities to ensure services are completed on schedule.
* Conduct property condition inspections, document findings, and follow up as required.
* Support onboarding activities for new residents and maintain a safe, compliant environment.
* Perform additional administrative and operational duties as directed.
* Attend relevant training to enhance knowledge of legislative requirements.
Qualifications
* Current Real Estate Licence/Registration (QLD) – Minimum Essential.
* Valid unrestricted Category C Driver's Licence (QLD) – Minimum Essential.
Experience & Skills
* Minimum 2+ years of experience in property leasing, real estate, or property administration.
* Strong client service skills and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* High level of organization, attention to detail, and administrative capability.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards. Occasional lifting to 10 kg, kneeling, standing, walking, routinely sitting, and constant use of speech/hearing. Requires mental alertness and ability to work under deadlines.
