Alice Springs Hospital is looking for a motivated and innovative Senior Pharmacist in Palliative Care to be a part of the amazing Palliative Care and Pharmacy teams in Central Australia.
This is an opportunity to be part of a modern and progressive pharmacy department which employs 20 pharmacists, 1 intern pharmacist and 7 pharmacy technicians. The palliative care pharmacist and oncology pharmacist work closely together, and therefore there is the opportunity to upskill in oncology as well.
The department is located within Alice Springs Hospital (ASH) which has over 200 beds, and is the sole hospital in Central Australia, with a catchment area of 1.6 million square kilometres. The hospital has links with multiple Australian Pharmacy Schools and is a teaching centre for Flinders Medical School. Areas of speciality include Indigenous health, Nephrology, Intensive Care, Infectious Diseases, Emergency, Maternity and Obstetrics, Rehabilitation, Hospital in the Home, Palliative Care, Day Oncology, Mental Health, General Medical, Surgical and Paediatric areas.
Services provided include ward based clinical and drug information services to ASH and TCH, as well as in-patient and out-patient dispensing, and non-sterile manufacturing. The regional pharmacy provides medicines and advice to remote health clinics in the NT, WA, SA and QLD border. ASH Pharmacy is an accredited SHPA Foundation Residency Program site.

Additional Benefits
Salary $110,873 - $124,173 plus SIX, (6) weeks of paid annual recreation leave, plus leave loading
Additional loadings apply for weekends and on-call shifts
Hours of work are 8am to 4.21pm Monday to Friday (1 hour lunch)
Up to $2,000 reimbursement for costs incurred for relocating to Alice Springs
Salary sacrifice of up to $9,005 is available. Additional salary sacrifice can be accessed through car leases and meals.

On-site accommodation may be available for a nominal rent, subject to availability
Paid study leave days available after 6 months of service
