We're partnering exclusively with a national infrastructure and energy contractor to appoint a Senior Project Engineer for a long-term brownfield project in Queensland's Bowen Basin.
This is a confidential appointment — the business is managing a leadership transition, and discretion is critical. The project is already underway, with multi-disciplinary scopes including SMP works, civil upgrades, and complex shutdown planning. You'll play a key role in day-to-day delivery while supporting broader project leadership.

What You'll Be Doing:
* Manage SMP (Structural, Mechanical, Piping) work fronts from planning through execution
* Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
* Oversee QA, ITPs, progress claims, and change management
* Assist with project reporting, forecasting, and client interface
* Champion safety and compliance in a complex brownfield environment
What We're Looking For:
* 5+ years' site‑based engineering experience in infrastructure or resources
* Previous exposure to brownfield energy/utilities projects highly regarded
* Strong working knowledge of SMP scopes, shutdowns, and contractor coordination
* High‑level communication, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Engineering degree in a relevant discipline
