Mordialloc Beach Primary School (MBPS) is a vibrant primary school located in Mordialloc, Victoria.
Our mission is to provide outstanding education for every student in an engaging, challenging, and supportive environment.

Selection Criteria
This position is 22.8 hours per week (three days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
SC1
Demonstrated knowledge of the Victorian curriculum, including literacy and numeracy instruction, and experience responding to student learning needs.
SC2
Experience planning and implementing high-impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluating the impact of learning programs on growth.
SC3
Experience monitoring and assessing student learning, using data to inform practice and providing feedback to students and parents.
SC4
Interpersonal and communication skills, and experience building collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community.
SC5
Behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values, and experience reflecting on practice and engaging in continuous professional learning.
Qualifications
Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (full or provisional)

Role
The classroom teacher is responsible for planning, preparing, and teaching programs that achieve specific student outcomes.
They engage in critical reflection and inquiry to improve knowledge and skills for effective student engagement.
Classroom teachers may be required to undertake additional duties as appropriate to their salary range, qualifications, training, and experience.
Responsibilities
Direct teaching of groups and individual students
Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or program
Undertake classroom teaching related and organisational duties as determined by the Principal
Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions
Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties
Who May Apply
Registered or eligible teachers with the Victorian Institute of Teaching who are qualified to teach or have demonstrated experience in the specified curriculum area(s).

Qualification Requirements
Provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
Completion of an approved postgraduate initial teaching program on or after 1 January ****
For students who graduated from a Victorian Initial Teacher Education program after 1 July ****, demonstration of LANTITE completion (if part of the program)
