We have an exciting opportunity for a **Student Services & Wellbeing Officer **to be part of our team at a new state of the art campus for our **University Partner, University of Canberra at Castle Hill, Sydney.**
Operating under the supervision and direction of the Campus Director, the Student Services & Wellbeing Officer is responsible for providing students with assistance across a range of student support services including academic, health and wellbeing, accessibility support, international student support, careers support, and digital literacy study skills. Often the first point of contact with students, the Student Services & Wellbeing Officer performs an important role within student support by identifying the area/s of support required, assisting students within the scope of the role, or referring them to other services for more specialised support.
The Student Services & Wellbeing Officer provides an onsite service as a point of referral for students seeking counselling and related support. The position works closely with UCSH teaching faculty, the BN Course Convenor and Inclusion UC in the development of 'Reasonable Adjustment Plans' for students with disability or health conditions where required.
The Student Services & Wellbeing Officer works closely with staff from the UC Student Life, UC Student Connect (student administration) and UC Careers (including the Placements Team).

**Primary Responsibilities**:
The occupant of this position will be required to:
- Act as an information and referral point for students seeking wellbeing, accessibility, international student support, health, careers, counselling, and social service support;
- Work closely with faculty and relevant professional staff to develop and monitor 'reasonable adjustment plans' where required;
- Provide a high level of customer service, face to face or online, to assist with student support services, learning technology, general enquiries, including referring students to other campus services or external health and wellbeing services and escalate student matters as required;
- Organise and source equipment and resources including software, adaptive technologies and assistive equipment for use by students with a disability or health condition;
- Help students in understanding unit outlines and assessment tasks;
- Assist students with using UCLearn (Canvas), Mahara ePortfolio, InPlace, Careers Hub, BBC Ultra, MyUC, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Wi-Fi, printing, scanning and photocopying, and using the library autoloader;
- Link students as needed to learning support services and ASK Advisors at UC
- Work collaboratively with other relevant business units at the University, including Student Connect, Student Wellbeing and Support, and Medical & Counselling in advising and supporting students on wellbeing matters.
- Assist the Campus Director in the delivery of workshops, events, specialised programs, staff information sessions relating to legislative compliance and support for students accessing relevant services.
- Identify, evaluate, escalate and report on potential risks in relation to students with a disability or health condition; and
- Perform other duties as required.
