This is a unique opportunity for amazing educators to experience remote and regional areas in WA, NT and QLD from 4 weeks to 1 term! You will teach, explore and learn whilst having the potential to build relationships with your students, school and community. Your knowledge of the curriculum will enable students to reach their academic potential whilst adapting and incorporating programs such as Two-Way learning and On-Country. What You Need to Succeed
To be considered for these amazing opportunities, you will need to possess and/or demonstrate:
* Relevant teaching registration/s and Working With Children clearance check/s / ochre card (or ability to obtain one.)
* A positive attitude and adaptability
* Comprehensive knowledge of the curriculum
* A high standard of competency and proficiency as a classroom teacher
* The capacity to differentiate and cater for different learning needs
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to build relationships and listen to the needs of the students, school and community
* Experienced teachers and outstanding graduates will be considered
Footprint Placements will also provide Trauma Responsive Practice in Education course (Australian Childhood Foundation). If you extend longer than a term, you will also be provided access to cultural competency training (The Stronger Smarter Institute.)
