The role of Service Technician – Rock Drills & Components involves performing high-quality assessments and repairs of various Sandvik Rock Drills and completing general workshop duties as required.
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate technical understanding of Sandvik equipment, take a productive approach to ensuring machine performance, and assist customers with their operations through increased productivity.
Areas of responsibility:
* To perform work in a safe manner in a team environment
* Adhere to all Sandvik EHS and environmental policies and procedures
* Work collaboratively in a close-knit team and have the ability to work autonomously
* Complete maintenance reports for internal and external stakeholders
* Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to identify and solve common problems
* Commissioning of products that includes quality inspections and commissioning
* Understand system functionality and interactions of hydraulics/mechanical and pneumatics systems
* Maintenance and Servicing Equipment
* Plan for correct tools and parts required to perform tasks, according to work procedures
* Use knowledge and experience to solve standard problems for customers
* Assign simple tasks to junior staff and guide them in completing them
* Ensure that routine work procedures are carried out according to safety standards
Your profile:
* Relevant Trade Qualification – Diesel Fitter or Fitter and Turner
* Valid Australian Driver's License
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Solid Microsoft Excel and Teams abilities
* Flexible to work with customer requirements, procedures, and safety policies
* Positive attitude and a high level of determination to achieve targets set for customer satisfaction
* Attention to detail and good interpersonal skills
* Ability to work unsupervised
* Proactive and self-motivated with demonstrated initiative
* Ability to learn and use digital mobile tools and applications
