Overview
We do! Join HammondCare as a Home Care Worker and be part of an independent, not-for-profit organisation improving the lives of older people in need. HammondCare Home Care is currently looking for Carers to join our team in the Tweed Head region on a part-time or casual basis. The Byron Shire region (including Suffolk Park, Bangalow, Mullumbimby, Brunswick, Burringbar to Murwillumbah) is also supported. The successful applicant must be available Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 to 16:00.
Responsibilities
* Provide essential, practical care for older people, supporting them to live independently in their own homes and improving their quality of life.
* Build meaningful relationships and offer companionship as part of daily care.
* Travel to clients' homes using your own car (paid travel time and mileage). Mileage is paid at $0.99 per km plus paid travel time.
About the role & Schedule
You will deliver day-to-day care and companionship to clients, enabling them to remain in their homes. The role requires travel to clients' homes using your own car. Availability: Mon, Wed, Fri 10:00–16:00.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Valid Driver's Licence and access to an insured, reliable car (minimum Third Party Property Insurance).
* Experience in aged or community care is preferred; entry into aged care is possible with training.
* Ideally, a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support. If not currently qualified, HammondCare can assist with training.
* Flexibility to meet the changing needs of home care clients.

* Competitive hourly rate: $31.95 to $35.44 per hour plus $0.99 per km, paid travel time, and a mobile phone provided.
