We currently have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and responsible individual to undertake an apprenticeship in Parks & Gardens with the City of Greater Geelong.
City of Greater Geelong Parks & Gardens crews are responsible for a diverse range of projects within the Geelong region including horticultural maintenance, plant and garden management as well as landscape projects.
Commencing in the Botanical Gardens, the apprentice rotation program provides a variety of work experiences by rotating you through a number of zones in the Geelong region over the 3 year apprenticeship.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
A strong interest/basic experience within the Horticulture field
The ability to get along with a diverse range of people
Strong communication skills and willingness to support team goals
Physically fit and able to undertake manual labour
Commitment to perform work in a safe manner and adhere to OH&S; policies and procedures
Must have a current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
**What to expect**:
You will be required to work a 38 hour week (including TAFE training) and be willing to work overtime when required.
