The role
WSP is currently seeking an EI&C Engineer to join our Mining team in Perth, supporting the delivery of small to medium sustaining capital projects across a diverse portfolio of mining clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career to mid-level engineer looking to strengthen their experience across brownfield and operational environments, working closely with multidisciplinary teams on practical, fast-paced project scopes. This will be offered initially on a 12 month contract, with possibility of extension.
What you'll do
- Supporting the delivery of electrical, instrumentation and control engineering for sustaining capital projects
- Developing and reviewing single line diagrams, schematics, MCC design, and control system architectures
- Preparing technical documentation including scopes of work, specifications and reports
- Coordinating with internal disciplines and external stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
- Assisting with site works, commissioning and technical queries as required
- Contributing to safe, efficient and high-quality project delivery
About you
- 2–5 years' experience in EI&C engineering, ideally within mining, resources or heavy industry
- Relevant engineering degree (Electrical, Mechatronics or similar)
- Exposure to brownfield or sustaining capital projects will be highly regarded
- Solid understanding of electrical and control system design principles
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work across multiple concurrent projects
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
