About the Role
* As a Lecturer in Social Work, you will lead units and contribute to the implementation of the Bachelor and Master of Social Work programs which may include Field Education; contributing to excellence in teaching and curriculum development and scholarship of learning and teaching; and where applicable assist in the management of campus Field Education programs.
Responsibilities:
* Teach and assess students within the School's social work courses, including field education components;
* Contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality social work curriculum that aligns with ACU's strategic goals and priorities;
* Engage in research and publication activities that advance knowledge and practice in social work, and contribute to the School's research agenda;
* Provide academic guidance and support to students, and contribute to student recruitment and retention efforts;
* Participate in school and faculty meetings, and contribute to decision-making processes related to curriculum development, research, and other matters relevant to the School.
Requirements:
* Master's degree in Social Work or a related field;
* Demonstrated expertise in teaching and assessing students in social work programs;
* Strong research and publication record in social work, with potential for future research collaborations;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage with students, colleagues, and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds;
* Commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments and promoting social justice in teaching, research, and community engagement.
Benefits:
* Total remuneration valued at $142,635 - $168,220 per annum, including salary component and employer superannuation contributions;
* 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff;
* Annual leave loading of 17.5% of four weeks' salary payable, dependent on commencement date;
