Based in Roseneath, we are looking for a Laboratory Technician. Duties involve sampling construction materials, preparing test samples, conducting testing and physical analysis, reporting results, and maintaining records.
What your day will look like
* Some manual handling including concrete, wheelbarrow and other tools and equipment
* Conduct testing in accordance with laboratory work instructions, test methods, preparation instructions and manuals.
* Prescribed calibrations and checks of laboratory test equipment.
* Maintain, observe, and participate in the statutory safety requirements of the laboratory.
* Maintain the Laboratory NATA accreditation requirements.
Skills and experience
* Current driver's licence required
* A commitment to safety and quality.
* Well-developed skills and understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting of data.
* Good time management and organisational skills.
* An ability to cope with competing priorities and deadlines.
