We are seeking expressions of interest from RW pilots who wish to be considered for PIC at our Hobart/Cambridge base.
What's the role Working a 4/4 roster, you will deliver rapid aeromedical interventions, police response, and search & rescue operations in Australia's challenging environments.
From day one, you'll be the vital link in Tasmania's health and Police network, saving lives and improving patient outcomes for isolated regional and remote communities.
Key accountabilities (PIC) Act as the Pilot-In-Command (PIC) in accordance with the StarFlight Australia (SFA) AOC and Exposition, adhering to published administrative procedures and company policies.
Maintain crew coordination and cooperation in a multi-crew environment.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and statutory requirements for the safe, effective, and efficient operation of company aircraft.
Be prepared to fully support the Tasmanian Emergency Air Services (TEAS) contract, including adherence to community health guidelines where required.
Prioritise the well-being and safety of all staff, aircrew, passengers, and patients.
Identify, manage, and refer operational and safety risks in accordance with company policy and procedures.
Implement and actively participate in the safety management system, WHS system, and risk management system.
Monitor currency of identified items nearing expiry and escalate to the appropriate manager.
Ensure serviceability of issued PPE and tools for flight or ground operations.
Attend and complete all operational, safety, fitness, and training sessions, including government contractual requirements.
Undergo necessary training for current and new tasks and mentor non-company staff where required.
Assist with media and public relations activities to foster goodwill.
About You Strong communication skills and a safety-first attitude.
Enthusiasm and a drive to achieve and maintain the highest level of competency for Medical Transport and Emergency Service Operations.
Full vaccination against MMR, Varicella, Pertussis, Hepatitis B; hold or able to obtain Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Tasmania).

ATPL(H) or CPL(H) with ATPL(H) subjects; CIR MEH with minimum 3 renewals (IPCs); NVFR(H); NVIS(H); LL-SO; LL-WR.
>2500 hours Helicopter; >2000 hours PIC Helicopter; >1500 hours PIC Turbine Helicopter; >500 hours PIC Multi-Engine Helicopter.
>100 hours under IFR; >100 hours PIC Night Unaided; >100 hours PIC on B412 or BK117/H145; >30 hours NVIS.
Class 1 medical; Dangerous Goods Certificate; HUET/EBS (preferred).
Previous SAR/ALE experience (preferred).
