Role Description
The Workplace Mentor is responsible for engaging, supporting and providing guidance to Australian Apprentices and Employers primarily in the workplace, with a focus on improving retention rates. Regular travel and daily interaction with stakeholders are required.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide mentorship and guidance to Australian Apprentices and Employers.
* Improve retention rates by identifying and addressing any issues or concerns.
* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
A successful candidate will possess:
* Qualifications in social work, counselling or psychology.
* Formal studies in coaching or mentoring.
* In absence of suitable qualifications, willingness to undertake Diploma of Counselling within first year.
* Experience in social sciences, behavioural sciences, youth work or community development and services.
* Proven leadership, motivation and communication skills.
* Highly developed interpersonal skills building relationships with key stakeholders.
