About the role
Front of House (FOH) Team Leader plays a key role in ensuring events at Saltwater and the Old Courthouse Complex run smoothly and professionally. Supervising casual food and beverage staff and volunteers, this role oversees all FOH operations across a wide range of events, including conferences, community activities, live performances, and functions.
What you'll be doing
* Lead FOH operations across theatre shows, community events, performances and functions.
* Oversee food and beverage service, liaise with caterers and manage bar stock.
* Maintain clean, safe and presentable FOH areas and follow opening/closing procedures.
* Communicate event needs to hirers and internal teams, including technical services.
* Supervise and support bar staff and volunteers to deliver excellent service.
* Frequent weekend and evening work is a requirement of this role, with penalty rates paid on weekends.
What you'll bring to the role
The ideal candidate will align with the City's Values and be able to demonstrate the below competencies:
* Minimum three years' experience in a customer-focused leadership role within events/hospitality.
* Experience supervising staff or volunteers.
* Excellent customer service, strong work ethic, and a positive, flexible approach.
Pre-employment requirements
* Proof of right to work in Australia
* Approved Manager (red card)
* Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
