The Senior Analyst, Economic Security works in a small team to formulate and disseminate assessments that help departmental decision makers meet economic security challenges relevant to the agriculture portfolio. They will work in a collaborative team environment to help deliver a range of exciting and challenging priorities for the department.

The Senior Intelligence Analyst works as part of a small team that formulates and disseminates the intelligence to assist departmental decision makers meet economic security challenges relating to the agriculture portfolio. They will work in a motivated, personable and collaborative team environment to help deliver a range of exciting and challenging priorities for the department.

As the Senior Intelligence Analyst, you will:
The duties of this role include but are not limited to:
* Undertaking research, analysis and developing advice about issues affecting the economic security of the agriculture, fisheries and forestry portfolio.
* Coordinating input to and preparing intelligence briefings, correspondence and reports for the Minister and executive.
* Building constructive and collaborative relationships with other areas of the department, Commonwealth agencies, and state and territory agencies.
* Representing the department with stakeholders in a range of committees and forums including the National Intelligence Community (NIC).
Note: This advertisement is initially being used to fill a non-ongoing position however possibility of ongoing opportunity in the future. The merit pool established through this selection process, which is valid for a period of eighteen months from the date the vacancy was advertised in the Public Service Gazette, may also be used to fill future non-ongoing and ongoing vacancies in the branch where the duties are of a similar nature.
