Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Supervisor (Grassdale Milling) directs Milling operations in an efficient and sustainable manner toward the identified desired outcomes, ensuring that operations are conducted safely, professionally and in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedure. The position also drives continuous improvement and operational excellence through:
* Leading, supervising and scheduling Grassdale Milling employees to achieve effective operations, teamwork and appropriate staffing levels across required skills.
* Managing and contributing to capital and overhead budgeting, including planning, construction and implementation of capital projects while monitoring expenditure.
* Ensuring staff capability through training, clear internal procedures and ongoing guidance so Milling operations are understood and performed to required standards.
* Maintaining safe, efficient and compliant operations, prioritising livestock welfare, workplace health and safety, and adherence to company policies, industry regulations and legislation.
* Communicating effectively with management, staff and stakeholders, maintaining accurate operational records, and representing the Mort & Co brand professionally within the community.
ABOUT YOU
* Relevant qualifications and experience, together with advanced skills in animal nutrition and feed manufacture.
* Substantial experience in the operation of complex plant and equipment, with knowledge of milling and machinery maintenance.
* Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and supervise teams.
* Strong focus on following and enforcing Workplace Health and Safety and environmental requirements.
* Good judgement and the ability to make timely practical and effective decisions.
* Advanced organisational, record keeping and data processing skills
