Enjoy a slower-paced work environment, mirroring the lifestyle of the Goulburn region, all while being supported by a strong and passionate Paediatric Allied Health team (Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Speech Pathology). • Be part of a brilliant culture that puts you first, with flexible work arrangements that work for you and your family • Generous salary packaging, purchased leave and vehicle options • Quality learning and development opportunities Your New Role: The Allied Health Clinician (Psychologist) position sits within the School Readiness Allied Health team, providing paediatric allied health capacity-building support to early childhood education and care services within Shepparton and the broader Goulburn region. The School Readiness Allied Health Program is funded by the Department of Education and aims to support kindergarten educators and the families in their centres to build their capacity to assist young children's learning in the areas of wellbeing, communication and access/inclusion. The role will be supported through collaboration with a broader paediatric allied health team consisting of Speech Pathologists, Psychologists and Occupational Therapists. As a Psychologist in the School Readiness Allied Health team, you will be responsible for providing allied health support to educators and families in order to build their skills in supporting children's wellbeing through coaching, modelling, group training, case consultations and other discipline-specific services. You Will Be Responsible For: • Purposefully engage kindergarten educators to identify and support the skill development of children as they prepare for school. • Provide secondary consultation to kindergartens in the format of coaching across a range of platforms (e.g. in person, telehealth, email, phone, etc.). • Undertake discipline-specific tasks such as the provision of information to enhance children's emotional resilience, engagement in play, mental health, positive behaviour, relationships, social interactions and self-regulation. • Work collaboratively with other disciplines within the team to provide a high quality multi-disciplinary service. • Effectively manage a caseload through organisation of appointments, handover of services for discipline-specific support and/or joint delivery of sessions. • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to maximise service coordination and cooperation. We're looking for individuals with: • A graduate or post-graduate degree in Psychology. • Experience working in paediatric allied health, with experience working in kindergarten settings an advantage. • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team to develop and implement evidence-based programs that meet the goals and desired outcomes for children, families and educators. • An openness to working in a capability-building and coaching role with educators and families to promote skills and knowledge of child development.
