Job Title: Security Officer
Job Summary:
* We are seeking a skilled and experienced Gatehouse Security Officer to join our team at Queensland.
* The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of clients and their assets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage vehicle movement, access control, and visitor passes.
* Check emails, administration, and required reporting.
* Confirm all individuals with security access cards have completed relevant inductions and provided approved access levels.
* Identify and report any security risks to client contacts and client services managers.
* Conduct internal and external foot patrols.
* Issue permanent and temporary staff security access cards, contractor, and visitor passes.
* Monitor WHS, CCTV surveillance, and respond to site alarms.
* Provide daily communications diaries, event logs, incident reports, breaches, foot patrol reports, readings, alarms, and checks.
* Ensure perimeter security by preventing unauthorized access to the site or vulnerabilities to physical and electronic security integrity.
* Respond to alarms generated by access systems, fire systems, building management control systems, CCTV systems, and staff or contractor issues.
* Surveillance and monitoring of entry gates, screening areas, site buildings, and grounds via CCTV, access control systems, and visitor management processes.
* Traffic control – pedestrian and vehicle gates, intercoms, parking areas.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Current QLD Security Licence (Unarmed Guard, Crowd Control, Monitoring).
* Current First Aid Certificate including CPR.
* Current Driver’s Licence.

Requirements:
* Availability to work afternoon and night shifts (4pm-8am), including weekends and public holidays.
* Liaise with high-profile clientele and people at all levels.
* Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role.
* Autonomous, working with minimal supervision.
* Excellent communicator (written and verbal).
