Pakenham Institute has been operating as Registered Training Organisation in 2016. Pakenham Institute initially started as outsourced sales and marketing solutions to its clients. Since then, the business model of the company evolved, and it seen opportunity in vocational training and started offering non accredited and professional development courses and marketing consultancy to its clients. After successful operations in non-accredited training management decided to enter accredited training and registered as an RTO in 2016
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Education Officer to join our dynamic team at our Pakenham Campus. The Education Officer is a member of the management team, which has a commitment to:
Key Responsibilities
* consult with lecturers, Head of Departments and administrative staff of Pakenham Institute to coordinate educational programs and provide advice
* identifying and evaluating developments in education by conducting research into educationsystems
* serving on committees to identify present and future needs within the educational system, and planning, developing and modifying facilities and programs
* documenting subjects and courses developed, and evaluating new courses
* organising and conducting workshops and conferences to train lecturers in new courses and methods
* applying knowledge of learning processes through Pakenham Institute structures to develop operational and trainingprograms, and submitting them for decision
* Observing lecturers in the classroom, noting students' response, motivation and teaching techniques
* discussing programs, records and lecturers with Compliance Manager and Course Coordinator to record academic performance of Pakenham Institute, welfare of students and performance of individual lecturer
* making suggestions to Pakenham Institute or government regulators such as TEQSA, the Department of Education aboutcontinuous improvements to educational facilities and deliveries, equipment and resources and internal staff to ensure continued compliance under Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011(TEQSA Act), the National Code 2018, the ESOS Act
Qualifications and Experience
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment – TAE40122 (Preferred but not essential)
Tertiary qualified
Broad administrative experience in working with academic staff.
Experience in the higher education sector.
Broad experience in course design and the implementation of training packages.
Good understanding of Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 (TEQSA Act), ESOS Actand the National Code 2018
Experience in working with international students.
