As we expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Bookkeeping Manager to join our dynamic team.The Position:We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Bookkeeper/Manager who will be jointly responsible for overseeing a team of bookkeeping professionals, ensuring accurate and timely financial record-keeping for our clients.
The successful candidate will possess excellent technical knowledge, strong leadership skills, and the ability to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.On offer is a flexible hybrid working model - Full time or school hours preferred.Responsibilities:Lead and manage a team of bookkeepers, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.Ensure the accurate and timely completion of bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and financial statement preparation.Review and verify bookkeeping entries, identifying errors and resolving discrepancies promptly.Monitor and enforce adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders to address financial queries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer service.Assist in the preparation of client financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices, making recommendations for process improvements and implementing necessary changes.Requirements:Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role, with demonstrable experience in team leadership or supervisory capacity.Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, practices, and regulations.Proficient in the use of accounting software and tools, such as Xero, MYOB, Hubdoc, Dext, XPM, FYI Docs and other add on solutions.Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work within established deadlines.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and colleagues.Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to visit clients or new prospects.Relevant qualification in bookkeeping certificate 4 or higherMembership in a reputable bookkeeping association such as the ICBIf you are a skilled and motivated Senior Bookkeeper/Manager with a passion for accuracy, exceptional customer service and leadership, we would love to hear from you.
