Position OverviewLismore Bounty Motel is seeking an experienced and dedicated Hotel Motel Manager to oversee the daily operations of the property and ensure the delivery of exceptional guest service. This role is responsible for managing accommodation services, supervising staff, maintaining property standards, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while supporting the financial performance of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee reservations, front office operations, room allocations, and housekeeping coordination to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and functionality across all rooms and facilities.
* Supervise and lead staff, including rostering, onboarding, training, and performance management to ensure a high-performing team.
* Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve operational efficiency and service consistency.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards relevant to motel operations.
* Manage guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally, implementing service improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
* Monitor occupancy rates, pricing strategies, and booking channels to maximise revenue and profitability.
* Oversee financial activities including budgeting, cost control, purchasing, expense monitoring, and financial reporting.
* Coordinate maintenance and repairs, including preventative maintenance schedules, liaising with contractors and service providers to minimise downtime.
* Maintain accurate records, booking systems, and operational documentation to support audit readiness and business reporting.
* Support and implement marketing initiatives, promotions, and partnerships with local businesses to increase occupancy and brand visibility.
* Ensure effective inventory management of supplies, linen, and amenities to support uninterrupted operations.
* Monitor and manage online presence, including review platforms and booking sites, to maintain strong ratings and reputation.
* Promote a safe working environment in line with workplace health and safety standards and ensure staff adherence to policies and procedures.
* Liaise with ownership/management to provide regular operational updates, performance insights, and recommendations for business improvement.
Qualification:• Diploma in Hospitality Management or related qualifications
Skills and Experience:
* Minimum 2 years experience in hotel, motel, or resort management, or a senior operational role in hospitality.
* Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving capabilities to manage multiple aspects of resort operations.
* Understanding of accommodation management systems, guest services, food and beverage functions, and regulatory compliance.
