As part of this journey, we’re looking for a hands-on and detail-driven Payroll Officer to join our People & Culture team.
This role is ideal for someone with 1–3 years of payroll experience who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys solving problems, supporting store teams, and ensuring accurate and timely pay runs. You’ll play a key role in maintaining payroll data, resolving queries, and supporting the transition to a new payroll system.
As a Payroll Officer, you will:
- Process weekly pay runs using HR3 and Kronos
- Review and validate timesheets and leave requests
- Investigate and resolve payroll queries from team members and external bodies
- Generate pay run and ad hoc reports for internal stakeholders
- Maintain employee master data and personnel files
- Support compliance with awards, agreements, and payroll legislation
What you will bring:
- 1–3 years’ experience in a payroll role, ideally in retail
- Experience with Kronos and SAP highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills – able to explain payroll matters clearly
- A proactive mindset and willingness to learn in a manual, evolving environment
